Pumpkin carving workshops for children and adults
This year we organised two pumpkin carving workshops on Thursday 30th November. At the morning session for children with their parents, many of our regulars and some new children enjoyed the session, led by Cat Stevens, an artist and community gardener from Southeast London. At least 12 pumpkins were carved, followed by a Halloween quiz and delicious refreshments provided by Mary. This was followed in the afternoon by a much quieter workshop for adults, many of whom were new to the garden. At the end of the session, the lanterns were lined up and lit in the dark of the parish hall so everyone could admire all the designs.
